About Cheese Works

The Cheese Works Ltd. is an importer and distributor of specialty food products serving the finest gourmet food stores and restaurants nationwide. We do not sell directly to the public and have a 70 pound order minimum. If you are a consumer and are interested in any of our products please ask for them by name at your local specialty retailer.

The Cheese Works product line includes imported and domestic perishable and nonperishable items. Company employees travel the world searching for traditionally produced artisan products. Our sources in most cases are the people who make or grow the product. From small family farms to large cheese cooperatives the Cheese Works team maintains a close relationship with their producers and in some instances is their exclusive U.S. distributor. Most of our products can be traced back to the very cow, goat, sheep or plant from which they were made. We follow USDA guidelines and are a HACCP & Organic Certified Warehouse.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality specialty food products from around the world. We continually add new products in every category and strive to be a source of innovation for our customers introducing them to unique, artisan products that will bring new tastes and flavors to their customers’ tables. The members of our sales team all have extensive experience in the food industry including retail sales, merchandising and culinary backgrounds. They have the knowledge and experience to assist retailers and foodservice operators find the right products to help make their businesses successful.

The Cheese Works owns and operates a large fleet of refrigerated delivery vehicles which service accounts located between Maine and North Carolina in the east from our Ringwood, New Jersey warehouse and to all key locations in northern and southern California from our facility in Alameda, California.
